Elderly adults are especially at risk for malnutrition, although it can happen to anyone. It can happen to those who don’t have access to healthy food and/or who have medical conditions that can affect their appetite

Malnutrition in older adults costs the United States 51.3 billion dollars each year, and causes a 300% increase in the cost of health care.
