Elderly Malnutrition at Club Prior

What's the Problem?
Club Prior is an older-adult recreation center in Prior Lake, Minnesota for ages 55 and above. The majority of people who visit Club Prior live independently, which means that they are responsible for buying groceries and preparing meals for themselves. However, the reality is that many of these residents are unable to do so and instead practice unhealthy eating habits, such as only eating a small bag of goldfish or granola for the entire day.
How Can it Be Solved?

Establishing the Club Prior Pantry in conjunction with the ROCK program allows seniors to have access to healthy food to take home with them over the weekend at no cost to them.
What is ROCK?

ROCK (Researching Our Community's Kids) is an existing program in Prior Lake schools where kids in need are provided a backpack with food to take with them over the weekend. ROCK depends on community donations and volunteers to pack and deliver the backpacks.
